Business Analyst

Job Summary: Our walking tour operator is seeking a part-time Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will work remotely and help us identify opportunities for growth and improvement, streamline our operations, and develop strategies to enhance the overall customer experience. As a key member of our organization, you will work closely with stakeholders across departments to analyze data and provide insights that will inform our business decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and analyze data to identify trends and insights in the walking tour industry
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document business requirements
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
• Create and maintain project documentation including use cases, requirements documents, and test plans
• Work closely with IT teams to implement new solutions and systems
• Develop and implement metrics to track performance and measure success
• Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and inform strategic decisions
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our business operations and customer needs
• Participate in cross-functional teams to develop new products and services
• Provide support to end-users during implementation and post-implementation phases

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
• At least 3 years of experience as a business analyst or similar role in the travel industry
• Strong knowledge of the walking tour industry and trends
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas to stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools
• Experience with process modeling and documentation tools such as Visio or Lucidchart
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and tools such as Jira or Trello
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

This is a part-time, remote position with flexible hours. The Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders from various departments to ensure that business requirements are clearly defined and met.
